Oregon Lottery prizes claimed by Lincoln County residents
Oregon Lottery players from Lincoln County claimed a total of $308,872 in prizes of $600 or more in traditional lottery games in 2005.

Ryan Borders of Siletz was Lincoln County's big winner with a $50,000 "Hot Vegas Nights" Scratch-it prize. Other winners included Holly Nicholson of Tidewater with $46,037 from Keno; Jay Clark of Logsden won $15,000 from "Double Cash Crossword" Scratch-it; Mysti Kahler won $10,000 from "Slingo" Click & Play computer game; and Mary Flansberg of Waldport won $7,506 from "Sports Action."

One hundred twenty-eight players won prizes of $600 or more. In that group, there were a total of 53 players claiming prizes of $1,000 or more.

Overall, Oregon Lottery players won more than $469 million in prizes during 2005.

Prizes of more than $600 are claimed at the lottery office in Salem. Prizes of $600 or less are claimed at lottery retailers.

Since the Oregon Lottery began selling tickets on April 25, 1985, it has earned more than $4.2 billion for economic development, public education, state parks and watershed enhancements. In that same period, it has paid its players more than $10 billion in prizes.
